*Run flat fast paved roads to start with the remainder on flat fast paved city trails

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

April 27th, 2024

*5:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Packet pickup and late registration @ TBA LOCATION

April 28th, 2024

*5:30 AM-7:30 AM: Race day registration and packet pickup @ Memorial Coliseum

*7:30 AM: Mandatory pre-race meeting

*8:00 AM: Race start

*9:45 AM: Half Marathon Grab and Go Awards begin

*11:00 AM:Marathon Grab and Go Awards begin

PARKING

*There is plenty of parking at the Memorial Coliseum, ~$8/day with all spaces no more than a 1/4 mile from the race start/finish and bathrooms

PACKET PICKUP/REGISTRATION

*Bring a photo ID and to packet pickup and registration.

*Cash, check, Venmo(3%), Paypal(3%) and Credit Card payments(3% fee) can be accepted for day before and race day registrations.

RACE TIMING, RESULTS, AND TIMING CHIP PICKUP

*The race will be chip timed with results at www.rubletiming.com LIVE as you finish

*Post-race results will be posted LIVE as racers finish

*Bibs will be given out in race bags for pre-registered and day before registration.   Race Day given as you register

NUMBERING

*All participants will receive numbered bibs to be pinned in a visible front location.

COURSE

*Course maps are linked HERE

*Flat and fast courses (winning Half Marathon times in 2023 were 1:11(male) and 1:21(female) very accurate courses being USATF and Boston Marathon Qualifier Certified - last year GPS files consistently showed courses extremely accurate as well post race.

*Start and the memorial coliseum and run towards downtown on Parnell and St Joe Blvd.

*Run across downtown on Main Street before using the River Greenway system to hit many parks across Fort Wayne for the remainder of both courses.

*The courses will be marked with signs and tape and volunteers will also help direct runners.

*Police at any intersections/trail crossings that traffic needs controlled

*There will be frequent aid stations on the run every ~1.5 miles

AUDIO DEVICES

*Headphones, headsets, walkmans, ipods, mp3 players, or personal audio devices allowed

*See ‘USATF Rules’ for more info on all rules.

RESTROOMS

*There will be porta-johns at the race start as well as Memorial Coliseum bathrooms

*On course there will be several port o johns, sent in pre-race email exact mile locations

*~1/2 the aid stations will have a port o john

T-SHIRTS, MEDALS, AWARDS

*T-Shirts will be in the race packet. 

*Finisher medals will be given at the finish line. 

*Age group and Overall awards will be given out in the half and full marathon, TBD breakdown announced closer to the race

*Awards will be done on a grab and go basis as soon as your result/placing is confirmed post race

FOOD AND WATER

*Water and Gatorade will be available pre-race

*Aid stations ~ every 1.5 miles (Water, Gatorade, Coke, Gels*select stations*, Ice*select stations*, Port-o-Pots *select stations*)

*Drinks and some snack food will be available post-race at the finish line.

CONTINGENCY PLANS

*The race start may be delayed up to 1 hour if the weather is anticipated to clear up.

*If weather forces a cancellation we can offer a 50% discount to a future 2024/25 event.
